Questions about KVPX-LD
Is KVPX-LD broadcasting in ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV)?
KVPX-LD broadcasts in NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0) only. Low-power stations aren't required to keep an old-format signal, so TVs without a 3.0 tuner can't receive it.
Will KVPX-LD stop working on my TV?
Low-power stations play by different rules. They can already switch to NextGen TV whenever they choose, with no requirement to keep an old-format signal — and the broadcasters' proposed shutoff dates don't cover them. KVPX-LD has already made the move.
Why can't I get KVPX-LD?
Start with a full channel rescan (Settings → Channels → Auto scan) — stations change transmitters and frequencies more often than people expect. KVPX-LD transmits on real (RF) channel 28, which is UHF. UHF (channels 14–36) is what most indoor antennas are designed for. Reception problems on UHF are usually about distance, walls, or line of sight to the tower — try a window facing the transmitter.
