Questions about KRPE-LD
Is KRPE-LD broadcasting in ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV)?
KRPE-LD broadcasts in NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0) only. Low-power stations aren't required to keep an old-format signal, so TVs without a 3.0 tuner can't receive it.
Will KRPE-LD stop working on my TV?
Low-power stations play by different rules. They can already switch to NextGen TV whenever they choose, with no requirement to keep an old-format signal — and the broadcasters' proposed shutoff dates don't cover them. KRPE-LD has already made the move.
Why can't I get KRPE-LD?
Start with a full channel rescan (Settings → Channels → Auto scan) — stations change transmitters and frequencies more often than people expect. KRPE-LD transmits on real (RF) channel 6, which is VHF-low. VHF-low (channels 2–6) is the hardest band for indoor and flat antennas. If this station breaks up while others come in fine, an outdoor or attic antenna with long VHF elements is usually the fix.
